As the release date approaches and interest in this new installment by Hideo Kojima approaches, his development team, the Tokyo studio of Kojima Productions, has revealed some of the most important details that will be included in the game. The first secret is the creation of a 'Mother Base', a facility in the middle of the sea that will serve to store items and house personnel that are acquired during the course of the game. Throughout the story of METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER, players will be able to recruit some enemies they have defeated, and transport them to the base using the Fulton Recovery System. Soldiers who join Naked Snake will have unique abilities that will help him in many different ways. By adding more soldiers, players will be able to expand the base and access new functions. The 'Mother Base' will also serve as a testing ground for Snake, as he can improve his weapons or investigate ways to create new ones. METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER will also feature new intelligent super weapons: mammoth unmanned ships that Snake must use to complete his mission. These include hovering ships, aerial ships and land vehicles. Each AI weapon can speak and even sing during combat using VOCALOID technology, achieving a surprising level of intelligence and an important role in the game's plot.
